We are deeply committed to sustainability, ensuring that our construction practices meet today’s needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. The Experts Behind Evolution Design Build Group

Scott Kelley

Owner & Operator

Scott Kelley is the owner/operator of Evolution DBG, Inc. Scott has been involved in the construction industry for 31 years and is committed to the company’s creative direction & sustainable, green construction practices. After attending the University of Utah, Scott moved to Durango, CO where he founded Earthway Enterprises Inc. Earthway Enterprises Inc. was then moved to Kansas City. There it became an award-winning company and a leader in Design/Build models with an emphasis in sustainable building. Scott sold Earthway Enterprises Inc. after 17 years and moved back to Park City to raise his family. Evolution Design Build Group was the next Chapter. Scott and his family enjoy mountain biking, boating, hiking, camping, skiing, and traveling.

Dave Dopita

Business Development & Sales Manager

As Evolution’s Business Development/Sales Manager, Dave brings 20+ years of experience in Customer Service, Maintenance Management, and Project Management. It’s his easy-going personality and consultative approach that brings our clients a positive, unique experience to their jobs. He is an excellent problem solver with a reputation for bottom-line orientation, high quality and on-time delivery in challenging situations. Dave would enjoy saying hello to you if you happen to meet him around town. When Dave is not busy making your home look great, he is riding his dirt bike or at the lake with his daughter.

Jamie Dooley

Director of Finance

Jamie Dooley is Evolution’s Financial Manager. She has been involved in Real Estate, Property Management and the construction industry in Park City since moving here in 2001. Jamie started with Evolution in September 2021. She loves working with our clients on their job costs and tracking their job expenses from start to finish. Outside of work, Jamie spends as much time with her daughter as a teenager will allow. Jamie enjoys visiting her parents and family in Idaho as well as skiing, snowboarding, paddleboarding, hiking and working on/driving her 1962 Willy’s Wagon as much as possible.

Alex Bate

Director of Operations

Alex brings expertise from a maintenance, ski industry, and construction background to the Evolution team. Known for his attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset, Alex is recognized as a punctual and hardworking professional. Beyond the project realm, you’ll find Alex enjoying his passion for fly fishing or embracing outdoor adventures in both dirt and snow.

Sandy Sumerix

Marketing Manager

Sandy recently returned to Utah after a few years exploring Flathead Valley, Montana. Her past adventures have taken her from an island in southeast Alaska to the red rocks of southern Utah. With a background in fine art, Sandy thrives on creativity and loves finding innovative solutions to everyday challenges. Her passion is working with people—whether she’s helping answer questions, supporting the team, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen, sharing laughter and good food with her eight kids and two granddaughters. She’s an avid crafter, especially when it involves paper, scissors, or a bit of Disney magic—Mickey Mouse is always welcome in her home.

Kate Ferrell

Office Manager 
Kate grew up with a family owned construction company in Virginia. In 2024, she moved to Utah after traveling in her camper with her fiance and springer mix for three years. When she’s not working or exploring, she is learning to paraglide, learning to ski and brings crochet & knitting projects everywhere she goes.

Marieke Rogers

Project Manager

Marieke is a northwest-expat from Wenatchee, Washington who has resided in Park City for nearly 20 years. She is truly a jack of all trades, owing to the fact that she grew up as a carpenter’s assistant to her father who tackled every kind of home improvement job imaginable, dragging along his two daughters to aid in each task. Marieke is a gifted artist, and in each project that she takes on she brings a deciphering, creative eye. Her enthusiasm is well known in PC and is contagious to all those with whom she comes into contact.

Deb Armstrong

Project Manager 

With a background rooted in project management, Deb brings sharp attention to detail, extreme organization, and clear, consistent communication to every project she manages. She thrives on keeping projects running smoothly, aligning teams, managing timelines, and delivering results from the first plan to the final walkthrough. When she’s not on the job site, you’ll find her hiking, biking, baking, knitting, or playing a lively game of mahjong.

Bobby Records

Project Manager

Bobby was raised in Park City,  where he developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors and a deep connection to the local community. With a professional background spanning both construction and property management, Bobby brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to his work. His experience allows him to manage projects with efficiency, attention to detail, and a high standard of quality. Outside of work, Bobby enjoys fly fishing in the local rivers, playing golf, and spending quality time with his family. 

David Hammond

Superintendent 

David attended the University of Utah, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. In 2021, David realized a newfound passion for home remodeling. In a quest to further his skills, he sought out Evolution Design Build Group in 2023 to work on high-end projects and increase his knowledge by surrounding himself with master craftsman. In David’s spare time, he enjoys trail running, exploring the desolate deserts of Utah, writing, ceramics, and working on classic cars.

Jayden Tippetts

Superintendent

From growing up on a small island in Southeast Alaska to exploring the trails at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Jayden has always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Known for his infectious smile and great sense of humor, he’s the guy everyone turns to for a good laugh. Jayden discovered his passion for woodworking and construction back in middle school, and by his sophomore year of high school, he was already competing in the Utah State SkillsUSA woodworking competition. He’s been building ever since. When he’s not on the job, you’ll likely find him playing lacrosse or hiking Utah’s high peaks. Jayden is excited to be part of the Evolution team and looks forward to contributing to the company’s continued growth.

Jason Cohen

Lead Carpenter

With a foundation built on carpentry, ranging from detailed timber framing to full remodeling, Jason knows construction from the ground up. His top priority is always the quality of the craftsmanship. When away from the job site, he finds balance enjoying the outdoors while mountain biking and skiing, and keeping his mind sharp with his book club. 

Andy Chamarro

Carpenter

Andy, Evolution’s Lead carpenter, brings a diverse skill set honed through a decade in the ski industry before transitioning to construction. Starting with a construction company building indoor rock climbing gyms, Andy discovered a passion for working with wood. Since then, he has embarked on a multitude of projects, keeping himself consistently engaged. When not on an Evolution jobsite or in his woodshop, Andy seeks adventure in the wilderness, indulging in off-roading, alpine lake fishing, splitboarding, or mountain biking. Known for his zest for life and continual pursuit of new experiences, Andy embodies the spirit of Evolution’s craftsmanship.

Luke Blue

Carpenter 

Luke, better known as Blue, is a skilled carpenter with years of experience in the construction industry. His expertise spans woodworking, framing, and finishing, demonstrating a solid foundation in craftsmanship. Blue brings a unique skill set that includes prior experience in the snow cat operation, snow-making, irrigation systems, and customer service. Known for adaptability and a commitment to excellence, he combines technical proficiency with a hands-on approach to ensure high-quality results. Blue is dedicated to precision, safety, and client satisfaction, making him a valuable asset for any construction project.

Dylan Yturralde

Field Crew

Dylan, from Kamas, Utah, grew up snowboarding, playing sports, and enjoying the mountain lifestyle. His passion for craftsmanship began early, inspired by his grandfather, whose skill and dedication as a carpenter motivated Dylan to follow in his footsteps. Today, he brings that same commitment, attention to detail, and pride in his work to every project he takes on!
